Air Temperature Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank.
3. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
4. Remove the A/C accumulator.
5. Remove the retaining screws from the evaporator case cover.
6. Remove the evaporator case cover from the heater/vent module.
7. Remove the air temperature door linkage and actuator.
8. Remove the air temperature door from the heater/vent module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the air temperature door (1) to the heater/vent module.
2. Install the air temperature door linkage and actuator.
3. Install the evaporator front cover to the evaporator case.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install retaining screws to the evaporator case.

Tighten
Tighten screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

5. Install the A/C accumulator.
6. Install the battery to the vehicle.
7. Install the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank.
8. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
