Front Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
2. Remove mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror) (Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror))Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Manual) (Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Manual)).
3. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the window module. Refer to Front Side Door Window Module Replacement (Front Side Door Window Module Replacement).
5. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Door Handle Replacement).
6. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the door lock actuator. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Lock Actuator Replacement - Front Door).
8. Remove the weatherstrip from the door. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Regular Cab) (Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Regular Cab)).
9. Disconnect the door wire harness. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement. Service and Repair




10. Remove the door check link bolt from the pillar side.
11. Remove the bolts from the upper door hinge and the lower door hinge.
12. With an assistant, lift the door up from the hinge pins, and remove the door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant, install the door to the vehicle by placing the door on the hinge pins.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the upper door hinge and the lower door hinge.

Tighten the hinge bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

3. Install the door check link bolt to the pillar side.

Tighten the door check link bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

4. Connect the door wire harness. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement. Service and Repair
5. Install the weatherstrip to the door. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Regular Cab) (Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Regular Cab)).
6. Install the door lock actuator. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Lock Actuator Replacement - Front Door).
7. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Door Handle Replacement).
9. Install the window module. Refer to Front Side Door Window Module Replacement (Front Side Door Window Module Replacement).
10. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Install the mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror) (Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror))Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Manual) (Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Manual)).
12. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
13. Inspect the alignment of the door. Refer to Door Adjustment (Door Adjustment).
