Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement - 3

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Disconnect the rear evaporative emission (EVAP) purge tube (3) from the EVAP pipe (2).




3. Disconnect the fuel tank EVAP tube from the EVAP canister.




4. Disconnect the vent valve tube (4) from the EVAP canister.




5. Remove the EVAP canister bracket bolt.
6. Remove the EVAP canister.
7. Remove the rear EVAP purge tube from the EVAP canister and the clip, if necessary.
8. Remove the EVAP canister from the bracket, if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install a the EVAP canister to the bracket, if necessary.
2. Install the rear EVAP purge tube to the EVAP canister and the clip, if necessary.
3. Install the EVAP canister.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the EVAP canister bracket bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




5. Connect the vent valve tube (4) to the EVAP canister.




6. Connect the fuel tank EVAP tube to the EVAP canister.




7. Connect the rear evaporative emission (EVAP) purge tube (3) to the EVAP pipe (2).
8. Lower the vehicle.
