Mode Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the floor air outlet.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mode actuator.
3. Remove the screws from the mode actuator.
4. Remove the mode actuator from the control lever.
5. Remove the mode actuator from the HVAC module.




6. Remove the clips holding the air distribution case halves together.
7. Separate the air distribution case from the heater case.
8. Remove the mode door (14) from the heater case (12).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the mode door (14) to the case (12).
2. Install the air distribution case to the heater case.
3. Install the clips holding the air distribution case halves together.




4. Install the mode actuator to the HVAC module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the screws to the mode actuator.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the mode actuator to the control lever
7. Connect the electrical connector to the mode actuator.
8. Install the floor air outlet.
