Recirculation Door Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the retainer screw.
2. Remove the trim panel from the retainers.
3. On diesel engines only, remove the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Replacement in Computers and Controls Systems.
4. Roll back the instrument panel. Refer to IP Assembly - Rotating in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the recirculation actuator (19).
6. Remove the screws from the recirculation actuator (19).
7. Remove the recirculation actuator (19) from the module.
8. Remove the clips holding the air distribution case to the heater case.
9. Remove the recirculation door from the module case.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the recirculation door to the module case.
2. Install the clips holding the air distribution case to the heater case.
3. Install the recirculation actuator (19) to the module.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the screws to the recirculation actuator (19).
Tighten
Tighten the recirculation actuator screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
5. Connect the electrical connector to the recirculation actuator (19).
6. Roll forward the instrument panel. Refer to IP Assembly - Rotating in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
7. On diesel engines only, install the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Replacement in Computers and Controls Systems.
8. Install the trim panel to the retainers.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
9. Install the retainer screw.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
