Battery Relay Replacement - Auxiliary
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery relay electrical connector.
2. Remove the relay upper nut.
3. Remove the positive battery cable wire from the relay.
4. Reposition the boot on the lower nut.
5. Remove the relay lower nut.
6. Remove the positive battery cable wire from the relay.
7. Remove the auxiliary battery relay bolts.
8. Remove the auxiliary battery relay from the fender.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the auxiliary battery relay against the fender.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the auxiliary battery relay bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the auxiliary battery relay bolts to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).
3. Install the positive battery cable wire to the relay.
4. Install the relay lower nut.
Tighten
Tighten the relay nut to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).
5. Position the boot on the lower nut.
6. Install the positive battery cable wire to the relay.
7. Install the relay upper nut.
Tighten
Tighten the relay nut to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).
8. Connect the auxiliary battery relay electrical connector.
