Pickup Box Side Panel Brace Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the lower retainer (2) from the rear panel brace.
2. Remove the upper retainer (1) from the rear panel brace.
3. Remove the rear brace from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear brace into the vehicle.
2. Install the rear upper brace retainer (1) into the brace.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the rear lower brace retainer (2) into the brace.
3.1. Tighten the fastener to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3.2. Tighten the fastener to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) for Steel box side.
3.3. For step side box and rear dual wheel fender tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (7 lb ft).
