Front Floor Console Compartment Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the console compartment door from the center console. Refer to Console Compartment Door Replacement (Luxury) (Console Compartment Door Replacement (Luxury))Console Compartment Door Replacement (Non-Luxury Console) (Console Compartment Door Replacement (Non-Luxury Console)).
2. Place the compartment door on a work bench.




3. Remove the 11 retaining screws.
4. Remove the inside panel to gain access to the lock cylinder.




5. Remove the lock cylinder retaining clip (1) from the latch assembly.
6. Remove the lock cylinder from the latch assembly by pressing outwards.

Installation Procedure




1. Install a new lock cylinder (2) by pressing inwards until it is seated.
2. Install the retaining clip (1).
3. Ensure the linkage for the top compartment door are all connected before installing the inside panel.
4. Install the inside panel.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the 11 screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in).

6. Inspect the operation of the top compartment door.
7. Install the compartment door to the console. Refer to Console Compartment Door Replacement (Luxury) (Console Compartment Door Replacement (Luxury))Console Compartment Door Replacement (Non-Luxury Console) (Console Compartment Door Replacement (Non-Luxury Console)).
