Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister mount bolts.




3. Disconnect the pipes at the EVAP canister.




4. Disconnect the vent valve pipe (3) at the EVAP canister bracket.
5. Remove the EVAP canister from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP canister to the vehicle.
2. Connect the vent valve pipe (3) to the EVAP canister bracket.




3. Connect the pipes to the EVAP canister.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




4. Install the EVAP canister mounting bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Lower the vehicle.
