A Symptoms

IMPORTANT: Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Radio/Audio System Description and Operation

Visual/Physical Inspection
^ Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Radio/Audio system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Diagnostic Aids.
^ Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections in Diagnostic Aids.

^ Radio Poor Reception
^ Audio Too Loud at Low Settings
^ Remote Playback Device Inoperative
^ Remote Playback Device - Audio Noise
^ Remote Playback Device Left or Right Channel Inoperative
^ Radio Displays LOC, LOCKED, or CODE
^ Radio Displays CLN or CLEAN
^ Radio Display Inoperative, Speakers Operative
^ Radio Display Inoperative, No Sound from Speakers
^ Speed Compensated Volume
^ Tape Player Weak, Slow, or Garbled Output
^ Steering Wheel Controls Inoperative
^ Reduced Volume - One or More Speakers
