End Gate Adjustment
1. Lower the endgate.
2. Remove the endgate handle bezel retaining bolts (1).
3. Remove the endgate handle bezel (2) by using a flat-bladed tool to release the push-in retainers attached to the bezel directly below the handle (3).
4. Release the right side endgate handle latch rod retainer.
5. Release the left side endgate handle latch rod retainer (4).
6. Adjust the latch by repositioning the rod seating position in the retainer. Reposition each side equally.
7. Reattach the retaining clips.
8. Close the endgate. Ensure that the endgate is latched securely.
9. Open the endgate. Observe the ease of operation.
10. Continue to adjust by repeating steps 6 through 9 until the desired operation is achieved.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
11. Reattach the endgate handle bezel. Ensure that both push-in retainers are aligned correctly.
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
