Rear Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Crew Cab) (Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Crew Cab)).
2. Remove the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement).
3. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Door Handle Replacement).
4. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the door lock actuator. Refer to Rear Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
6. Remove the weatherstrip from the door. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair).




7. Disconnect the door wire harness. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement.




8. Remove the door check link bolt from the pillar side.
9. With an assistant, remove the bolts from the upper and the lower door hinges.
10. With an assistant, lift the door up from the hinge pins and remove the door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant install the door to the vehicle by setting the door down on the hinge pins.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the upper and the lower door hinges.

Tighten the upper and lower bolts to 24 Nm (18 lb ft).

3. Install the door check link bolt to the pillar side.

Tighten the door check link bolt to 24 Nm (18 lb ft).




4. Connect the door wire harness.
5. Install the rear door weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the door lock actuator. Refer to Rear Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
7. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Door Handle Replacement).
9. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement).
10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Crew Cab) (Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Crew Cab)).
11. Inspect the alignment of the door. Refer to Door Adjustment (Door Adjustment).
