Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF)/INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the electrical connector of the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor (1).
2. Remove the mounting bolts of the MAF/IAT sensor (1) from the upper housing of the air cleaner assembly (3).
3. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the MAF/IAT sensor (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (70 lb in).

2. Install the bolts mounting the sensor to the upper housing of the air cleaner (3).
3. Connect the electrical connector of the MAF/IAT sensor.
