Spring Bumper Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Unsnap the jounce bumper from the mounting cup. Use the 4WD 15-series and, the 2WD 25/35-series supplies.





3. Remove the nut from the jounce bumper stud. Use the 4WD 1 5-series and, the 2WD 25/35-series supplies.
4. Remove the jounce bumper.

Installation Procedure





1. Snap the jounce bumper to the mounting cup. Use the 4WD 1 5-series and, the 2WD 25/35-series supplies.





2. Install the jounce bumper. Use the 4WD 15-series and, the 2WD 25/35-series supplies.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the nut to the jounce bumper stud.
^ Tighten the nut to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the safety stands.
5. Lower the vehicle.
