HVAC Control Module Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - IP Accessory in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
2. Remove the HVAC control module retaining screws.
3. Depress the HVAC control module retaining tabs and remove the HVAC control module from the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the HVAC control module.
5. Remove the HVAC control module bulb from the HVAC control module and retain.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the HVAC control module bulb to the HVAC control module.
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
3. Install the HVAC control module into the instrument panel, ensuring that the HVAC control module retaining tabs lock into place.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the HVAC control module retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

5. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - IP Accessory in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
