Stabilizer Shaft ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
Important: When you remove parts from the right side and the left side of the vehicle, keep the parts separated.
3. Remove the stabilizer shaft links.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft brackets.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft.
7. Remove stabilizer shaft insulators from stabilizer shaft.
8. Inspect all of the parts for wear and damage.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft with the slits facing the front of the vehicle.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft brackets over the stabilizer shaft insulators.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts.
Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts 36 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the stabilizer shaft links.
6. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.
