If the clutch engages, but slips while driving the vehicle, inspect the clutch disc to make sure it is properly seated. Also inspect for worn facings on the disc plate, the disc to be covered in fluid, for a worn or damaged clutch cover, and for weak diaphragm springs.
Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. This step inspects the clutch system components and the operation of the clutch system.
6. This step inspects for the source of the fluid leak.
7. This step inspects for a worn facing or for being tom from the disc plate.
