Transfer Case Shield ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the transfer case shield mounting bolts.
3. Remove the transfer case shield from the cross member.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the transfer case shield to the cross member.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the transfer case shield mounting bolts from the transfer case shield.
^ Tighten the mounting bolts to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
