Heater Pipe Replacement - Auxiliary Front

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the exhaust system as necessary.
3. Remove the heat shields from the vehicle.
4. Remove the heater hose connections from the water by-pass valve.
5. Remove the heater hose connections from the intermediate pipe.
6. Remove the retainers from the vehicle body.
7. Remove the front inlet and outlet pipe from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front inlet and outlet pipe to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the retainers to the vehicle body.

Tighten
Tighten the retainers to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

3. Install the heater hose connections to the intermediate pipe.
4. Install the heater hose connections to the water by-pass valve.
5. Install the heat shields to the vehicle.
6. Install the exhaust system as necessary.
7. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
