Lubricate
    Steering and Suspension
      Lubricate the front suspension, ball joints, steering linkage, transmission shift linkage, transfer case shift linkage, parking brake cable guides, and brake front axle. Ball joints should not be lubricated unless their temperature is -12 degrees C (10 degrees F) or higher or they could be damaged.
Inspect
    Radiator Cooling Fan
      If your engine has a thermostatically controlled cooling fan, inspect hoses and ducts for proper hook-up (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first). Be sure the valve works properly.
    Heat Shield, Exhaust
      Inspect shields and underhood insulation to assure that gaskets are properly sealed and that all hose connections, fasteners and other components are tight. Also check to be sure that the air cleaner housing is properly seated and the cover fits tightly. Tighten connections and fasteners or replace damaged parts as necessary.
    Fluid - Differential
      Inspect front/rear axle fluid level and add fluid as needed. Check constant velocity joints and axle seals for leaking.
    Brakes and Traction Control
    Air Filter Element
      Inspect engine air cleaner filter change indicator. If necessary, replace the filter. If vehicle is driven in dusty/dirty conditions, inspect filter change indicator at every engine oil change.
    Air Cleaner Housing
      Check the air intake system installation to assure that gaskets are properly sealed and that all hose connections, fasteners and other components are tight. Also check to be sure that the air cleaner housing is properly seated and the cover fits tightly. Tighten connections and fasteners or replace damaged parts as necessary. U.S. vehicles only.
Replace
    Oil Filter, Engine
    Fuel Filter
    Engine Oil
      Change engine oil and filter as indicated by the GM Oil Life System (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first). Reset the system.
