Rotating Clutch Assembly Installation

Tools Required
^ J44587 Main Shaft Holder





1. Position the main housing so that the front of the main housing is facing up.
2. Remove two bolts (2) from J44587 (1).
3. Remove J44587 from the power takeoff access.





4. Apply Transjel or equivalent lubricant to thrust bearing assembly (1).

Notice: Installing the thrust bearing incorrectly could destroy the transmission.

5. Align thrust bearing (1) so that the blue stripe on the thrust bearing is facing towards the P1 planetary carrier assembly.
6. Install thrust bearing (1) into the P1 planetary carrier assembly.





7. Install rotating clutch assembly (1).
8. Rotate the clutch assembly until it seats.
9. Make sure one of the following is visible through the turbine speed sensor hole in the main housing:
^ The teeth of the PTO gear.
^ The teeth of the turbine tone wheel.
