Door Replacement - Side Front

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 2 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 6 in SIR.
2. Remove the accessory switch panel.
3. Remove the door trim panel.
4. Remove the outer belt sealing strip.
5. Remove the inside door handle.
6. Remove the speaker.
7. Remove the water deflector.
8. Remove the outside rear view mirror (ORVM).
9. Remove the window.
10. Remove the weatherstrip run channel.
11. Remove the window regulator.
12. Remove the door latch assembly.
13. Remove the side door SIR sensor.
14. Remove the outside door handle.
15. Remove the check link.
16. Remove the wire harness from the door.




17. Remove the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates.
18. Remove the door from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the door to the vehicle with an assistant.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Apply Loctite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382, or Canadian P/N 10953489, or equivalent to the fastener prior to installation.
3. Install the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates.

Tighten the bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

4. Install the wire harness to the door.
5. Install the check link.
6. Install the outside door handle.
7. Install the side door SIR sensor.
8. Install the door latch assembly.
9. Install the window regulator.
10. Install the weatherstrip run channel.
11. Install the window.
12. Install the ORVM.
13. Install the water deflector.
14. Install the speaker.
15. Install the inside door handle.
16. Install the outer belt sealing strip.
17. Install the door trim panel.
18. Install the accessory switch panel.
19. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 2 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 6 in SIR.
