Seat Replacement - Rear No. 1

SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 1 (TRAILBLAZER EXT, ENVOY XL)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the communication interface module if removing the right-hand rear seat.




2. Remove the front two rear seat mounting nuts (2) securing the seat to the vehicle.
3. Fold the seat to the stowed position.
4. Remove the rear two rear seat mounting nuts (2) securing the seat to the vehicle.
5. Remove the seat from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the seat on the floor studs. The seat should be in the folded position.
2. Install the two rear nuts (2). Do not tighten the nuts.
3. Unfold the seat to ensure that the seat latch (1) properly engages the latch bar (3) the floor.
4. Install the front two rear seat mounting nuts (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the front rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

5. Fold the seat to the stowed position.
6. Tighten the two rear seat mounting nuts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

7. Install the communication interface module if installing the right-hand rear seat.
