Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (Cab/Chassis)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the fuel tank evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe from the EVAP canister.
2. Disconnect the fuel feed/return and EVAP pipe assembly from the EVAP canister.




3. Disconnect the EVAP vent valve pipe from the EVAP canister.




4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Remove the EVAP canister nuts.
6. Remove the EVAP canister.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP canister.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions Fastener Notice.

2. Install the EVAP canister nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Lower the vehicle.




4. Connect the EVAP vent valve pipe to the EVAP canister.




5. Connect the fuel feed/return and EVAP pipe assembly to the EVAP canister.
6. Connect the fuel tank EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister.
