Main Housing Dowel Pin Disassemble





Notice: DO NOT mar the main housing surface when removing the dowel pin. An unmarred surface is required to maintain the seal between the rear cover assembly and the main housing.

Important: Do not replace the main housing dowel pin unless the dowel pin is damaged.

1. Remove dowel pin (1) from the rear surface of the main housing.
2. Install a new dowel pin (1) into J43780 (2).
3. Using J43780 (2), drive the dowel pin until seated.

Dowel Pin Installed Height
Make sure the dowel pin is installed to a height of 20.80 - 21.20 mm (0.819 - 0.835 inch) above the main housing rear surface.
