Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the canister mount bolt (2).




3. Disconnect the vent hose (3) from the canister (2).
4. Disconnect the fuel tank pipe and the purge pipe from the canister.
5. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the fuel tank pipe and the purge pipe to the canister.
2. Connect the vent hose (3) to the canister (2).




3. Install the canister mount bolt (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the canister mount bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

4. Lower the vehicle.
