Whistle/Windnoise Around Right Corner Area of Dash (Apply Insulating Foam Sealant)

Condition
Some customers may comment on a windnoise or whistle around the right corner area of the dash.
Cause
There may be a void in a sheet metal seam.
Correction
1. Remove the "A" pillar trim.
2. Pull back the black rubber flap.
Important:
The hole is 25.4 mm (1 in) inboard of the flange edge, starting at the spot weld and going forward 25.4 mm (1 in) then turns outward to the edge of the flange. Refer to the illustration.
3. Following the manufacturer's recommendation on the insulating foam sealant, position the tube of sealant in the area shown in the illustration above. Any various household insulating foam sealant, such as Dow Great Stuff(TM), or equivalent, may be used and can be purchased locally.
4. Apply a three second shot. While the foam is setting up, clean out the foam applicator tube with brake clean for future use.
5. Visually look to see if the sealer covered the area and road test.
6. Reinstall the "A" pillar trim.
