Seat Back Recliner Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
2. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel.
3. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad.
4. Remove the seat back cover and pad.




5. Remove the seat adjuster cable (3) from the seat adjuster.
6. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball (1) though the round opening.




7. Remove the 4 bolts (1) securing the recliner assembly to the seat adjuster.




8. Remove the 4 bolts (1) securing the recliner assembly to the seat back.
9. Remove the seat back recliners.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the 4 bolts (1) securing the recliner assembly to the seat adjuster.

Tighten the front seat recliner bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).




2. Install the 4 bolts (1) securing the recliner assembly to the seat back.

Tighten the front seat recliner bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).




3. Install the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by inserting the ball (1) though the round opening.
4. Install the seat adjuster cable (3) to the seat adjuster.
5. Install the seat back cover and pad.
6. Install the seat cushion cover and pad.
7. Install the seat cushion outer trim panel.
8. Install the seat in the vehicle.
