Battery Message Displayed in Drivers Information Center (Recalibrate Instrument Panel Cluster)

Condition
Some customers may comment on a chime sounding and a battery message displayed in the Driver Information Center (DIC).
Correction
Important:
The Instrument Panel Cluster will not be recalibrated using the Service Programming System. The recalibration is performed using a special function of the TECH 2(R).
Technicians are to recalibrate the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) using the TECH 2(R). The calibration program will be released beginning with TIS satellite data update version 3.0, which includes TECH 2(R) update version 24.001, to be available on March 8, 2004. As always make sure your TECH2(R) is updated with the latest software version. The IPC Recalibration procedure is accessed on the TECH 2(R) using the following steps:
1. Connect the TECH 2(R) to the vehicle.
2. Build the vehicle and select Body.
3. Select Instrument Panel Cluster.
4. Select Special Functions.
5. Select IPC Recalibration.
