Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).





3. Remove the VSS with O-ring seal.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the VSS with O-ring seal.
^ Tighten the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).





2. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
3. Lower the vehicle.
