TECHNICAL
Subject:
Throttle Body Coolant Return Hose Falling Out of Routing Clip (Install New Routing Clip)
Models:
2004 Chevrolet Express Van
2004 GMC Savana Van
with V8 Engine (VINs V, T, U - LR4, LM7, LQ4)
Built Prior to November 2003
Condition
Some customers may comment or dealership technicians may notice that the throttle body coolant return hose will not stay in its routing clip.
Correction
Install a new routing clip located on the upper radiator hose. This new clip will provide an improved method of securing the throttle body coolant return hose. The new clip will also have to be modified by cutting off the retainer tab (tree). Location of the new clip (1) is the same as the current clip, but with the hook pointing upward at the 9 o'clock position.
