Coolant Pump Inlet Hose - Starter/Generator Module Replacement
Coolant Pump Inlet Hose - Starter/Generator Module ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Drain the Starter/Generator Control Module (SGCM) cooling system.
2. Remove the surge tank.
3. Reposition the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) from the SGCM coolant tank (2).
4. Remove the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (3) from the SGCM coolant tank (2).
5. Remove the bolts (2) from the SGCM coolant pump (1).
6. Reposition the SGCM coolant pump (1) from the radiator core support (3).
7. Open the coolant pump inlet hose clip (3) located on the frame rail.
8. Reposition the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) from the SGCM coolant pump (2).
9. Remove the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) from the SGCM coolant pump (2).
10. Remove the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) to the vehicle.
2. Install the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) to the SGCM coolant pump (2).
3. Position the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) to the SGCM coolant pump (2).
4. Close the coolant pump inlet hose clip (3) located on the frame rail.
5. Position the SGCM coolant pump (1) to the radiator core support (3).
6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the bolts (2) to the SGCM coolant pump (1).
Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
7. Install the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (3) to the SGCM coolant tank (2).
8. Position the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) to the SGCM coolant tank (2).
9. Install the surge tank.
10. Notice: The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing starter/generator control module damage.
Fill the SGCM cooling system.
