Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2)

Removal Procedure





1. Loosen the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley and bolt.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the drive belt idler pulley and bolt to the generator bracket.Snug the bolt finger tight.
2. Install the drive belt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
