10. Rear Housing Assemble

Rear Housing Assemble

^ Tools Required
- J 25070 Heat Gun





1. Install the rear case shift shaft bushing.
2. Install the retaining ring for the shift shaft bushing.





3. If 4WD vehicle, install the main shaft rear bearing in the rear case.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. If 4WD vehicle, install the main shaft bearing retainer and the bolts.
^ Tighten the main shaft bearing retainer bolts to 22 Nm (16 inch lbs.).





5. Using the J 25070 heat the rear housing countershaft bearing bore for 10 minutes.
6. Install the countershaft bearing race using a suitable bearing installer.
