Window Replacement - End Gate

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the high mount stoplamp (endgate window-mounted only).




2. Open the endgate window.
3. Mark the location of the endgate window hinges on the body for proper alignment at installation.
4. Disconnect the rear window defogger connectors, if equipped.
5. Remove the endgate window struts.
6. Remove the bolts that retain the endgate window hinges to the vehicle.
7. With an assistant, remove the endgate window from the vehicle.


Installation Procedure





1. With an assistant, align the hinges to the marks made at disassembly in order to install the endgate window to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts that retain the endgate window hinges to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install the endgate window struts.
4. Connect the rear window defogger connectors, if equipped.
5. Install the high mount stoplamp (endgate window-mounted only).
