Mirror Face Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

Notice: When servicing electrochromic glass that is broken, or if glass breaks during servicing, be cautious not to spill electrochromic fluid onto vehicle. Doing so will cause damage to the vehicle.




1. Adjust the mirror face as shown in the picture to obtain access to the mirror face retention clips.
2. Position a flat-bladed tool between the back side of the mirror face and the adjuster mechanism as shown in the picture.




3. Place the blade of the tool between the gasket (1) and the adjuster mechanism (2).
4. Slightly twist the blade of the tool while gently pulling the mirror face towards you in order to release the retainers (3).
5. With the mirror face in hand, disconnect the electrical connectors.
6. Remove the mirror face from the mirror housing.
7. Inspect the adjuster mechanism for damage.

Installation Procedure




1. Inspect the components for any damage. Ensure that the mirror face has all the retention clips in place.
2. Plug in the electrical connectors to the back of the mirror.
3. Align the mirror face retention clips with the adjuster mechanism.




4. Gently press the mirror back into the adjuster mechanism with the palm of the hand on the center of the glass until it locks into place.
5. Inspect the operation of the mirror.
