ABS Light On, DTC C0040 Stored (Inspect/Repair Wheel Speed Sensor Harness)

2005-2007 Buick Rainier
2005-2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, TrailBlazer EXT
2005-2008 GMC Envoy, Envoy XL
2005-2008 Saab 9-7X

with 4.2L Inline 6 Cylinder Engine (VIN S - RPO LL8)

Condition

Some customers may comment that the ABS light is illuminated.

Cause





This may be caused by the wiring harness coming in contact with the A/C compressor pulley.

Correction

Remove the engine protection shield.

Inspect the wiring harness. If the harness is damaged, refer to Splicing Copper Wire Using Splice Clips in SI.

The harness should have a slight loop downward under the A/C compressor.
