Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement - Right (Knee Bolster Replacement - Right) .
3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the screws (1, 3) from the I/P trim pad.
5. Remove the I/P trim pad (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the I/P trim pad (2) to the I/P.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the screws (1, 3).

Tighten the screws (1, 3) to 3 N.m (26 lb in).

3. Install the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement - Right (Knee Bolster Replacement - Right) .
5. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
