MAINTENANCE I1. CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER. Reset the oil life system. Refer to Engine Oil Life System. An Emission Control Service.
2. VISUALLY INSPECT FOR ANY LEAKS OR DAMAGE. A fluid loss in any vehicle system could indicate a problem. Inspect and repair the system and inspect the fluid level. Add fluid if needed.
3. LUBRICATE THE CHASSIS COMPONENTS. Lubricate the suspension, steering linkage, transmission shift linkage and the underbody contact points and linkage.
4. ROTATE THE TIRES AND INSPECT THE TIRE INFLATION PRESSURES AND THE TIRE WEAR.
5. INSPECT THE BRAKE SYSTEM. Visually inspect the brake lines and the hoses for proper hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks, chafing, etc. Inspect the disc brake pads for wear and inspect the rotors for surface condition. Inspect other brake parts, including the calipers, the parking brake, etc. Inspect the parking brake adjustment.
6. INSPECT THE ENGINE COOLANT AND THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID LEVELS. ADD FLUID AS NEEDED.
7. PERFORM ANY NEEDED ADDITIONAL SERVICES. Refer to Additional Required Services.
