Energy Storage Box (ESB) Battery Resistor Connector Replacement

ENERGY STORAGE BOX (ESB) BATTERY RESISTOR CONNECTOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the energy storage box (ESB) intermediate cover.
2. Disconnect the appropriate battery resistor electrical connector (1).




3. Remove the appropriate battery power cable nut (4) and cable (5).
4. Remove the appropriate battery resistor connector (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the appropriate battery resistor connector (2) over the stud (3) on the battery.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the appropriate battery power cable (5) and nut (4).

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the appropriate battery resistor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the ESB intermediate cover.
