Park/Neutral Position Switch Removal





1. Hold the selector lever (2) from rotating with a wrench (1) and remove the shift lever nut (3) from the manual shift shaft (4).
2. Remove the selector lever (2) from the manual shift shaft.





3. Remove 2 park/neutral position (PNP) bolts (2) from the PNP switch (1).
4. Inspect the manual shift shaft (3) for burrs or raised metal where the selector lever seats. Remove any burrs or raised metal with a small file.
5. Remove the PNP switch (1) from the transmission case and manual shift shaft.
