Remote CD Changer Clicking On Initialization, Freezing Up or Loses Place in a Song (No Fix At This Time, Fix Under Development)
Models:
2005-2006 Cadillac Escalade Models
2005-2006 GMC Sierra Denali, Yukon Denali Models
with Remote CD Changer (RPO U1S)
Condition
Some customers may comment that the remote CD changer may click on initialization. Others may comment that the CD changer freezes up or loses place in a song.
Correction
Do not perform any repairs at this time. Engineering is developing new hardware and software to fix this condition.
Dealer Action
^ Record the customer information on a permanent record so you may call the customer when a repair becomes available.
^ Advise the customer that a repair is in test and validation and is due out soon. At the time the bulletin becomes available, it will be the dealer's responsibility to contact the customer.
