Attention:
This bulletin only applies to vehicles located in Southern Michigan area. Proceed with this bulletin ONLY if the customer has commented about this concern AND the EI number is listed in GMVIS. If the customer has not commented about this concern or the EI does not show in GMVIS, disregard the bulletin and proceed with diagnostics found in service information. THIS IS NOT A RECALL - refer to Service Bulletin 04-00-89-053A for more detail on the use of Engineering Information bulletins.

Condition

Some customers may comment that the right headlamp bulb is burnt out.

Cause

GM Engineering is attempting to determine the root cause of this condition. GM has a need to obtain information BEFORE any repairs are made.

Correction

Due to the need to utilize engineering equipment to collect data from the vehicle, GM Engineering is only interested in vehicles located in the Southern Michigan area.

If the vehicle currently exhibits this condition and is available for engineering to inspect, please contact the engineer.
