Electric Motor Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the Engine Protection Shield (EPS).





3. Remove the electrical connector.





4. Remove the electric motor actuator.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.

Important: Apply TEFLON tape to the threads of the electric actuator motor before installation.





1. Install the electric motor actuator.
^ Tighten the electric motor actuator to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).





2. Install the electrical connector.





3. Install the EPS.
4. Lower the vehicle.
