Wiring Harness Replacement - Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the side front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair).




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the door lock.
4. Remove the wiring harness retainers (2) from the door.
5. Remove the rivets (3), that retain the electrical contacts to the door, using an appropriate drill and drill bit.
6. Remove the wiring harness from the side door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the wiring harness to the side door.
2. Install the rivets (3), that retain the electrical contacts to the door, with an appropriate rivet gun.
3. Install the wiring harness retainers (2) to the door.
4. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the door lock.




5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair)
6. Connect the side front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair).
