4. Clutch Pilot Bearing Removal

CLUTCH PILOT BEARING REMOVAL

J 23907 Slide Hammer with Bearing Adapter






1. Remove the clutch pilot bearing using the J 23907 slide hammer with bearing adapter (1) and J 2619-01 slide hammer (2).

1.1. Install the legs of the J 23907 slide hammer with bearing adapter (1) into the clutch pilot bearing.

1.2. Rotate the shaft of the tool until the legs of the tool are snug and contacting the I.D. surface of the bearing.

1.3. Install the J 2619-01 slide hammer (2) to the J 23907 slide hammer with bearing adapter (1).

1.4. Remove the bearing from the rear of the crankshaft.

1.5. Remove the J 23907 slide hammer with bearing adapter (1) and J 2619-01 slide hammer (2) from the bearing.






2. Discard the bearing.
