Manual Detent Spring and Roller Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the oil pan and transmission internal oil filter.
2. Remove the 2 detent spring bolts (3). Remove the detent spring assembly (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the detent spring assembly (2) onto the control valve assembly. Confirm that the roller of the detent spring assembly rests on the detent lever (1).

2. Install 2 detent spring bolts (3).
^ Tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (108 inch lbs.).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the oil pan and transmission internal oil filter.
