Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation - Left





1. Install a new valve rocker arm cover gasket if the gasket was removed from the valve rocker arm cover.
2. Install the valve rocker arm cover.
3. Install the valve rocker arm cover bolts.





4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts (1-7) in sequence using 2 passes.
^ Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts a first pass to 6 Nm (54 inch lbs.).
^ Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts a final pass to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
