Steering Column Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the steering shaft coupling from the upper intermediate steering shaft.
2. Remove the 3 steering column seal nuts (2).
3. Remove the steering column seal (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the steering column seal (1) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the 3 steering column seal nuts (2).

Tighten the nuts to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

3. Connect the steering shaft coupling to the upper intermediate steering shaft.
