Generator Control Module Coolant Pump Hose Replacement
Generator Control Module Coolant Pump Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the generator control module (GCM) cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling. Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling
2. Remove the surge tank.
3. Reposition the GCM coolant pump hose clamp (1) from the GCM coolant tank (2).
4. Remove the GCM coolant pump hose (3) from the GCM coolant tank (2).
5. Remove the bolts (2) from the GCM coolant pump (1).
6. Reposition the GCM coolant pump (1) from the radiator core support (3).
7. Open the coolant pump hose clip (3) located on the frame rail.
8. Reposition the GCM coolant pump hose clamp (1) from the GCM coolant pump (2).
9. Remove the GCM coolant pump hose (4) from the GCM coolant pump (2).
10. Remove the GCM coolant pump hose (4) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the GCM coolant pump hose (4) to the vehicle.
2. Install the GCM coolant pump hose (4) to the GCM coolant pump (2).
3. Position the GCM coolant pump hose clamp (1) to the GCM coolant pump (2).
4. Close the coolant pump hose clip (3) located on the frame rail.
5. Position the GCM coolant pump (1) to the radiator core support (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
6. Install the bolts (2) to the GCM coolant pump (1).
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
7. Install the GCM coolant pump hose (3) to the GCM coolant tank (2).
8. Position the GCM coolant pump hose clamp (1) to the GCM coolant tank (2).
9. Install the surge tank.
Notice: The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing starter/generator control module damage.
10. Fill the GCM cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling. Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling
